Bookneck events.
They’re what bookmarks were made for
Markets. Pop-ups. Author events. Weddings, parties, anything. Wherever there are readers, we just seem to manifest.

The Parlour Series - Winter 2026
The Bookneck Parlour Series is a season of intimate literary gatherings inspired by the slower social traditions of the Regency era. Think candlelit conversation, correspondence and creativity somewhere between a Jane Austen novel and a winter literary salon, culminating in a Regency-inspired Spring Assembly.
(If this sounds like your kind of thing, be sure to sign up to our mailing list for early invitations and season announcements.)
Winter Parlour Finale: The Spring Assembly
As winter gives way to spring, for the crown event of the season, we're pushing back the chairs and opening the floor for an evening of Regency dancing, parlour amusements, conversation, and good company.
Friday 9 October 2026 | 6.30pm - 9.00pm
Mount Martha House, Mount Martha
$55 | Limited to 20 guests
The Un-Book Club
Most conversations about books end just as they're getting interesting.
The Un-Book Club begins there.
There's no assigned reading. No pressure to finish a chapter before Thursday. Just bring whatever you're currently reading (or have recently loved), settle in with a coffee, and spend an hour in the company of other curious readers.
Some people come looking for their next great read. Others come for the conversation. Most leave with both.
Every gathering begins and ends with a browse around Pippi, Bookneck's tiny travelling second-hand bookshop.
Where and when: First Thursday of each month at Blue Mini Café, Rosebud.
Cost: Free to attend. We simply ask that you support our wonderful hosts by purchasing a coffee or something from the menu.
Please note: We'd love to know you're coming. Places are limited, so RSVP by email to secure your seat: bookneckbooksellers@gmail.com.
